Are you aged 25 or under, with pre-school children? Why not come along to a young parents group?
These are informal groups held at children's centres, especially for young parents and parents-to-be. They offer a chance for you to play and learn with your child, whilst meeting other young mums and dads. Help and support is on hand from trained staff, if you want it. There are currently young parents' groups at Yiewsley Cornerstone, Nestles Avenue and Barra Hall children's centres. A typical session consists of play time, with lots of toys and activities set out for children and babies to play with, followed by a song or story time. Don't forget, there are lots of other groups and services that you can also attend at your local children's centre. For more details about what's on, visit Hillingdon - Children centres.
